CSC Retreats
The CSC plans several retreats each academic year including the Awakening and Growth retreats, a Graduate
Student/Young Professional retreat, and a Silent Retreat. The CSC also sponsors other smaller-scale retreat opportunities, including two twilight retreats, a busy-person's retreat, and many faith conversations, called Spirituality on Tap, throughout the year.
Graduate Student/Young Professional Retreat
During the Spring Semester of 2003, the first Graduate Student/Young Adult Retreat was held. This retreat is aimed at the issues facing those students who have left their undergraduate careers and are now exploring such faith issues as marriage and committed relationship, and vocations and finding God in the workplace. Retreatants have the opportunity to listen to and talk with community members and other retreatants who have struggled or are struggling with similar issues. The next Graduate Student/Young Adult Retreat will be held in early Novemeber.
Twilight Retreats
A Twilight retreat is held about once a semester on a Friday evening. The evening begins with a simple dinner, which is followed by a brief talk on a subject. Past subjects have included forgiveness and ... The night also includes time for self-reflection.
The Busy Person's Retreat
The Busy Person's Retreat is designed to be five days of prayer and reflection while in the real world. It includes an opening session, meeting with a spiritual director once a day at a time you set, and a group faith discussion on of the days.
Spirituality on Tap
Several times a year, the CSC sponsors faith discussions, usually led by Fr. Gary. These discussions are a wonderful time to explore faith in a relaxed, casual manner. |
