Catholic Student Union (CSU)
Catholic Student Union (CSU) is the student leadership team that represents students of the Catholic Student Center. They organize spiritual, social, and service opportunities and programming for students at WashU. Get involved with CSU to help make the CSC a home away from home for you and your fellow students!
CSU Mission Statement
On CSU, we acknowledge that none of us have it all together. We'd just like to grow into our very best selves, and we know we have a better chance if we do it together! CSU is part of the great community at the CSC. Membership is open to all undergraduate students, regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, ability, language proficiency and/or preference.
We provide different types of spiritual, social, and service opportunities ranging from casual hangouts at the Catholic Student Center to fun excursions off campus. Our events are aimed to help students explore and deepen their faith, build a community of love, and support the formation of lifelong friendships!
All are welcome at our events, members and non-members, Catholics and non-Catholics!

CSC AMBASSADORS
CSC Ambassadors intentionally pursue relationships with our fellow WashU students, and to invite them to share in the life of the Catholic Student Center (CSC). Through student outreach, Ambassadors represent the CSC, and participate in the CSC’s mission of creating a community of hospitality by going out of our way to develop relationships with all students who may one day walk through the CSC’s doors. CSC Ambassadors walk to Mass from the South 40 with anyone who wants to join, promote the CSC’s programs and values, and most importantly, get to know other students!
If you are interested in becoming a CSC Ambassador, please contact Kate Sanderson at sanderson@washucsc.org
Annual Programming
-
CSU's annual Root Beer Kegger hosts kegs of Fitz’s root beer and soda with ice cream and other snacks, karaoke, and root beer pong games!
-
Every year, the CSC hosts the Newman Gala for its donors, and CSU students often attend and help serve at the event. A great excuse to dress up, meet our community, and celebrate the CSC!
-
This annual program occurs in the Fall, and it is a great opportunity to bond with fellow freshman and sophomores and get to know our campus ministers.
